The Cold Smell of Indifference

This story is about my family’s visit to Crease Clinic Psychiatric Hospital where my mother was a patient. The narration details my entrance into the building, climbing the staircase, waiting at the top of the stairwell and walking down the long-darkened hallway. This event takes place one cold and snowy day in December 1968.
