Volunteer with the CJSF Music Department today!
You can help make a positive impact at CJSF now, by volunteering with our Music Department!
We have many opportunities for prospective volunteers, including:
- Reviewing new/unreleased music for consideration on the CJSF Playlist!
- Growing the Music Library, by cataloguing physical/digital albums!
- Organization and upkeep of our Library collection!
- Assisting with our live-music sessions (Studio 6), in recording, setup, production and promotion!
- Writing music reviews for our "Pick of the Week" posts, and the CJSF main site!
- Hosting curated and special editions of our weekly Record Club meetups!
- Providing sound/technical/playlist help during CJSF events!
- Representing the Music Department in the local community!
No experience necessary, and CJSF's Music Department provides Orientation and Training for all those interested.
For interested volunteers, please:
- Complete a CJSF Station Orientation
- Take the Music Department Orientation (~1hr)
- Speak with our Music Coordinator (Connor) (cjsfmusc@sfu.ca) about what areas you're intrigued by!
- Complete any secondary training with the Music Dept.
- Volunteer and enjoy!
