Summer 2017 Jobs at CJSF

We're looking for a few good people to work at CJSF this summer - two to be exact! We're hiring a full-time Community Outreach and Promotions Coordinator and a full-time Program Assistant.

Help CJSF make great summer programming, including the Radio Kids Camp, promotional opportunities at a slew of community events and festivals, as well as special broadcasts on Asian Heritage Month, Indigenous Heritage Day, Pride and more.

These positions are funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. Hours and duration may vary. You must be a current full-time student between 15 and 30 and be a Canadian citizen.

Community Outreach and Promotions Coordinator ($15/h, 35h/week for ~16 weeks)

The Programming Assistant supports the efforts of volunteers and programmers to create special programming for Asian Heritage Month, Indigenous Heritage Day, Pride and more. The Programming Assistant also supports the daily work of the Programming Department, the daily scheduling of programs and the work of volunteers and programmers on a daily basis. The Programming Assistant will also work with the Community Outreach and Promotions assistant to program and lead the CJSF Summer Kids Camp in August.

Programming Assistant ($15/h, 35h/week for ~16 weeks)

The Community Outreach and Promotions Coordinator helps promote CJSF Radio to the surrounding communities and the campus though a variety of means including tabling at events and festivals, social media, developing and distributing promotional materials, etc. The CO&P position also supports and promotes programming initiatives of other staff, especially special programming events. The CO&P will also work with the Programming Assistant to program and lead the CJSF Summer KIds Camp in August.
