A musical trip to Bismarck Archipelago, eastern Papua New Guinea. A very unique and endearing musical landscape, including classics from the legendary Pacific Gold Studios in Rabaul. Somehow these remote islanders have created a hybrid of Polynesian folk music, country, 80s synth cheese, and reggae. And no one outside of PNG seems to have heard it.
