Mixing Metaphors
The great saxophone/flute player Charles Lloyd turned 80 earlier this year. Like many octogenarian jazz musicians he is still going strong. Along with his group The Marvels, he recently released an album in collaboration with country/Americana singer Lucinda Williams. This week's show features music by jazz artists in collaboration with musicians outside the jazz genre. Enjoy as we are "Mixing Metaphors"! Shaken or stirred? It's what I play!
