Your Efficiencies Have Overtaken Your Deficiencies
Introducing the four finalists for the Julian Award of Excellence for Emerging Canadian Jazz Artists. They are Cole Birney-Stewart Sextet , Sam Kirmayer, Nick Maclean Quartet and Luke Sellick. The Julian Award is a listener generated award. The artist or group must meet SOCAN's MAPL criteria for Canadian content, it should be their debut or second album and must contain original music written by the artist or the group. This year's finalists are excellent examples of the best in jazz performance and composition. Check out their music on Bandcamp! It's what I play!
