#Charlotte Sista C Ferrell interviews Actress ShaMika Mitchell,  producer of the Vancouver Juneteenth celebration (this weekend) . As a member of the Black Culture Coalition, ShaMika discusses present challenges to Canadian academic institutions to update their curricula and resource materials to include the contributions that Indigenous, Black, Asian and other have made to Canada's development and growth. They discuss the emerging Black Fathers Matter apparel coming out for Father's Day and assert the continuing need formedia to present Black fathers in a positive, supportive manner rather than prevailing stereotypes.
