Why does Endevour's host Dan McPeake give "I Am Still Here" a B+ Grade? Check out what he has to say about this upcoming film. Set to hit Vancouver October 1st, 2010.

Joaquin Phoenix is a genius, while also somewhat insane. I’m Still Here, purports to be a documentary about Phoenix attempting to be a rapper. Turns out the film is more of an expose on chain-smoking, getting stoned, and snorting coke with Che Guevara.

Phoenix puts on about forty pounds, lets himself go all while appearing genuinely serious about his music. With appearances by Ben Stiller, Sean “don’t call me Diddy” Combs, and an onslaught of friends, perhaps even co-conspirators, "I’m Still Here" may leave you in disgust, but it will also may leave you in stitches. One of the more memorable scenes is between Phoenix ( J.P. his rap persona) and the quizzical Edward James Olmos in which the latter is portrayed as some sort of philosophical guru. They talk about nothing of importance and yet it was bizarrely mesmerizing.

The irony of this movie? J.P.’s rapping is actually pretty decent.
